I purchased this printer thinking it would equal or better than the previous Phaser model. However, the wax ColorCubes cost $529 for a set of two of each color. The discontinued printer cost for the color sticks was $139.

The printer arrived and the cartridge would not drop the ColorCub. Service department repaired the unit. Next day it still didn't work. Service department replaced the entire cartridge, but the ColorCubes had melted and I lost ½ of the printing ability.

Xerox has placed an optical reader inside the printer that reads the ColorCube's country of origin. Although this color came from the factory, the ColorCube was scratched and the printer did not accept the cubes.

This unit runs loud, hot and smells terrible as the ColorCubes are melting.

Beware of buying off band ColorCubes!
