This review is from: Brother Black Toner Cartridge (TN-210BK) - Retail Packaging (Office Product)
I acquired a Brother MFC-9320CW all-in-one printer last year and was very disappointed when the "toner low" message popped up in the menu window after running only 50 or so copies. Finally at approximately 250 copies, the toner in all three color cartridges ran out, so I was obliged to replace them. The first few pages were a bit light, but now the cartridges perform better than the originals that came with the unit. Cartridges are super easy to install and colors are vivid. Time will tell if I actually get the 1400 copies stated on the package, but if not, there's a way to extend cartridge life. Just Google the Brother printer model and add "toner override" then scroll down the forum for instructions.
After another 500 or so pages, the original black toner cartridge gave the "toner low" indicator, so I replaced it with an OEM cartridge and everything is working wonderfully. I have to say, however, that I am disappointed that Brother would install such minimal usage cartridges...Read more

I love this printer, although you have to override the feature that automatically stops printing when the toner is low. I've found that I get many pages of good quality copies even after the printer said that the toner was out, but you have to manually reset. It appears that there are a couple of warnings. One warning lets you know that you're getting low on toner, at which point you better buy another cartridge. The printer keeps printing, so no problem.
Then later, in my case many weeks later, another warning kicks in and completely stops you from printing. You could just replace the cartridge, or what I do is override this and just keep printing until I decide that I don't like the look anymore. You'll lose a little paper at some point because you'll have to reprint, but paper is cheap and toner is expensive so it seems like a good trade-off to me.
Here's how it works on my machine. Yours might be a little different, so experiment to make it work, but...Read more

DON"T REPLACE TONER CARTRIDGE IF IT SAYS THAT YOU ARE OUT.,
February 20, 2012 This review is from: Brother Black Toner Cartridge (TN-210BK) - Retail Packaging (Office Product)
Just wanted to let you know that you don't need to replace toner when it says to replace. There is a error in the software that causes the printer to say "low ink" and then later on to replace the ink when in actuality that is not the case. I contacted brother and complained and they were telling me that there was nothing wrong and that I have to buy more ink. Look at all the reviews on this printer and ink and you will see a lot of people are having problems with ink running out soon. I purchased the Brother mfc-9320cw and after a small amount of printing, the machine said "low ink" one by one on all the colors and then said I was out. That happened twice within a small amount of time. There is a cartridge ink override trick that resets the printer ink warning. It allows you to keep printing which several people including myself have described. When the machine says that magenta, cyan, yellow or black has run out, follow the instructions below and then print to your hearts...Read more
