I have used this monochrome laser printer/copier/scanner for over a year now everyday for very frequent printing for office at-home work. It may have been a refurbished model since I recall it was fairly cheap. It has been reliable and fast. Since I purchased the printer/copier/scanner, I have used after-market toner cartridges - either refilled Brother cartridges or non-OEM replacement toner cartridges, and they have worked really well for the most part. I started to see a white line running horizontally through the printed pages, less distinct type and slightly gray pages. I lived with it for a while until I purchased additional after-market cartridges. I have now installed a new replacement toner cartridge and it is working well again though it is always a good idea to run a few pages to get rid of any stray toner marks. Two things - the plastic back piece that holds the copy pages to feed into the printer broke right away or may have been broken when I received it. I fixed...Read more
