MAGICOLOR4650EN Clr 25PPM 9600X600DPI with 1YR Onsite Warr

This printer is a great workhorse. I bought this to replace an older Magicolor 2350EN that died after being 8yrs old, more like I killed it by trying to print CD labels. This 4650 is far superior. I have it set to go into power save mode after 5 minutes, which is great since it goes into power save mode faster and can also warm up and start printing in under a minute. It's a bit noisy when printing duplex prints, but it's very fast. Between 2 literature students this thing sees a lot of hundred page print jobs. Color prints are equally as fast and is a huge step up from the 5ppm i had before. It doesn't really print in photo quality being a laser printer and all, but i have managed good results after tweaking the settings. I've had this so far for a bit under a year, but I expect it to last as long as my old Magicolor printer it's replacing.

This is my second KonicaMinolta printer and the best one yet. It warms up and prints in seconds instead of minutes like the old one. The print quality is great whether grapics or plain text. It does not do photos any better than any other laser printer, the surface has a strange sheen that still looks good if put behind glass or behind the plasctic cover of a photo album. This printer does not duplex, for about a hundred dollars more you can get the same printer with a duplexer. Get a good solid printer stand, when they say it weighs 90 pounds it is real.
