I wanted a laser printer because I just got tired of getting ripped off on ink jet cartridges. I looked at several comparable brands but decided to go with the Samsung because I have several Samsung products ( TV,home theater, phone etc) and feel they make a quality product even something as inexpensive as this. I wasn't disappointed.

Installation was a snap with no hiccups. Test page printed out fast and crisp. I printed a couple of articles and some recipes for my wife to compare quality to my Canon inkjet and found the print to be very acceptable. It doesn't measure up to the laser I use at work but that's no surprise. It's a little loud when it starts up but not unbearable. I do like the power saving mode it switches to automatically.

For what I need at home this printer works great and it's a great value for what I paid.

This printer was a steal when I first saw it on Amazon but when I started to use it my eyes where opened to reality. This printer (for the occasional printer user) is fast and efficient, but if you print documents and legal work on a normal basis then look elsewhere as the the toner cartridge will be replaced very quickly. This is standard paper letter 250 slot and makes it slightly awkward to add Legal paper but nothing major. From a lot of reviews online the only toner that you should get is the genuine Samsung toner as knockoffs will give you error codes and not print properly. The Genuine Samsung toner ranges from $50 to $70. Second, if you do decided to purchase this unit make sure it is a "W" version and states on the box or it will not be a wireless printer. I made the mistake and read the body description that said it was wireless but titled ML-1865 and received a plain ML-1865.

The size of this item is very compact and practical. It would not take large space of your desk.
The installment processing is simple and smooth. Compare to the most printers, especially the inkjet printers, it makes little noisy.
The printing is clear and fine, and not require so much to the print paper. I used two brands print paper to print by this printer, both work well.
I will recommend this product.
