Pure junk,

This review is from: Xerox Phaser 5550/N Laser Printer (Office Product)
We bought one of these for the advertising department. It worked well at first, was very fast, etc. But it didn't take long to see what a piece of junk this printer is. It also has the dubious distinction of adding a brand new consumable, a part of normal printers that doesn't wear out. A new imaging drum must be purchased for every two toner cartridges and the fuser dies ALL THE TIME! I worked it out, and this puppy is costing my company $1,200+ a month to run. Our CMYK printer only costs half that each month, and our other b&w printers half again. We have several other Xerox b&w printers that have been running fine for a few years, so it makes no sense that they would make one that is this bad. My advice is to stay away from this printer at all costs. If having three classes of consumables is now Xerox's business model, I will stay away from their products forever.
